Brightons in Pelican

We are here and safe. Details on my blog.
The air is so much more breathable. My hair and skin are already thanking me for the move. I'm catching up on sleep after that insane week of packing up my ENTIRE house, and I think maybe we will live here forever...just so that we never have to move again.
Well, no, not forever. But for a couple of years...and we may well stay in this general neck of the woods forever. Pelican is pretty small, but Sitka or Petersburg or Juneau are nice...
Thanks for the prayers, I'm pleased to report that of 4 suitcases and 10 boxes, NOT ONE got lost among the 3 flights and 4 airports of my journey. Dave had one flight--a direct one--and they still lost one of his boxes. Go figure.
Dave wants to buy a boat. I need to get a Land's End catalog and get good boots for the family. I have alfalfa sprouts growing on my windowsill, and things here, while not nearly as cheap as UT, are not really as horribly expensive as I had feared...there just isn't much variety unless I want to have it shipped in from juneau (at 50cents per lb on the seaplane). Ah well, it's an adjustment and an adventure. :-)

Who put on the funny picture? Our family is better looking that that.
