LOTS of snow at the cabin this year - about 5
feet when we left on Saturday. Here are some
pictures from the meadow and up on the mountain - Elsa and I decided to try out my Christmas present on a beautiful sunny day. Wow. If you look closely you can see her climbing down the giant hill we couldn't make it up because there was too much powder - later in the season we'll make it. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas (fires and power outages in American Fork notwithstanding), and Happy New Year!!!

Life's "Little" Stresses

  • Wedding
  • Christmas
  • Relief Society President
  • 2 funerals in 2 weeks
  • Sub for Santas/general welfare needs for many ward members
  • Work

Maybe my brain will be working again after January 3rd, and I can write something a little more entertaining.

Just some photos of recent goings on around our house and cabin.....Grace playing soccer, Halloween (like Vigo's 'stache?), Caelen catching snowflakes and making snowcaves, Connor shooting arrows all over the forest, Elsa riding Jack (though she's preferring Andy these days as Jack is becoming a grumpy old horse), some pictures of baby Vigo, and some shots from the trip up the Salmon River out of Lewiston that the boys (E,C, and C) and I took in October. We saw otters, turkeys, mountain sheep, deer galore (hundreds), and even about a dozen really nice steelhead. Also thought I'd throw one in of Ethan and Connor's first hunting trip at the end of September. Hope everyone is well, Merry Christmas!!!

from Alaska

I just created a blog specifically for Brighton family photos--so you can see the cute kids without having to wade through the ramblings of my blog... enjoy!

We are mailing oru christmas letter today, but since we've only had 2 planes in the last 10 days...well, you may nto get it till February. :-)

I'm learning to knit, Sam has 4 teeth, Will is Tiny Tim in the christmas play, the windchill had us at 20 below last monday (only 9degrees without wind), and I think that about sums it up!

Merry Christmas to all!
